Some Words From Pasquale About ATI

Watch this page for Pasquale's updates on his experiences training at Advanced Technology Institute.

Pasquale A-T-I Giovani here to proudly report.... I PASSED all my DMV TESTS!! I now hold a CDL Class A! WHOA what a feeling of accomplishment! You can achieve the same feeling! Call Advnaced Technology Institute @ 490-1241. I would like to thank Mr Bill Tomlin, Mr Mike Levy, Mr Scott Chapman, Ms Tammy Potter-Brinn, and ALL the admin. & ennrollment staff at A-T-I! And now the instructors: MR George Perez (the Proff!) Mr Norman "Sarge" Bleech, Mr Bill Rutherford and Ms Rebecca Higginbotham. I (we) were in the yard under the expert guide of Norm Bleech & Bill Rutherford (Rebecca had the other class)...then I hi- the-road with my driver-trainer "Sarge". It was AWESOME! THANKS Mr Bleech, for the advice, expertise, encouragment, and for inspiring PROFESSIONALISM! Also thanks to Bill Rutherford for encouragment when things got a little frustrating....I appreciate it Bill, and of course instuctor Rebecca H., who offered me some good advice at the DMV on test day. She gave me some pointers for the curve backing that helped me through. Gotta say, Mr Perez set us up for success! From the beginning "Mr P." laid the foundation, helped us get our DMV Class A >PERMIT<, (without which NONE of us could have gone ANY further to the FINAL end)and told us the real deal about this vibrant industry! What an experince & accomplishment. It's ALL right here, in Va. Bch. Now thers are students who come from near and far, but for locals this is one career education gem you really should look into. For yourself, or someone you care about; someone YOU hope advances in life! I was in the Tractor Trailer Training course, but you (or someone you know) may be into "Diesel/Heavy Vehicle" --"Automotive ASE" (and high performance) or "H-VAC/Refrigeration" It's ALL local, at A-T-I 490-1241. Thanks A-T-I for offering a great environment in which to LEARN, for a smooth enrollment process, and a great sense of school spirit. Final congratulations to ATI TT112/TT113 class #012306! We all got OUR CDL Class A from A-T-I who checked out of school, and INTO job placement! --good luck and safe driving to ALL of you! It was an unforgetable couple months. I'm BETTER than I was when I started, isn't that what it's ALL about anyway?! A great course (challenging, but rewarding) and a great campaign. I'll miss A-T-I....for now. But I know I'll visit the capmus & those great folks! Advanced Technology Institute 490-1241

Hi everybody, 'future' CDL-holder, Pasquale Giovani with an update: TEST TIME is HERE! I'd be kidding if I didn't say there are some of those pre-test anticipation jitters (remember that feeling?) The A-T-I course & instructors give you ALL the knowledge you need, but when the DMV examiner is with you, and the clip is full of paper...you feel it. It's really based in a kind of respect & excitement though; these are BIG-HEAVY-POWERFUL machines. In "professional" hands they make commerce work; in UN-professional hands they're DEADLY! (just like a car can be, but exponetially worse!) This is just to say that it weigh's on this fella's head. Although I do feel confident, me & my class are NOT experienced drivers, so I'm approaching finals cautiously optimistic. After going through this EXCELLENT training, frankly I don't know how anyone (OK..may be 99% of pepole, may be YOU'RE the exception) could get in these rigs and manuever them, without TRAINING! The day's of the "old-man" teaching the apprentice how to roll in a back lot/country road have long since been over. There are so many considerations to be made when driving tractor-trailers......it's AWESOME! The futherest fact from myth is that "drivers" just sit-around-and-drive. NO!!! You have to be SHARP in many area's, and it seems have to have eyes EVERYEHERE! I hope you can gather my respect and enthusiasm for this PROFESSION, because that's what it is. I know what you're thinking, as you re-call some experiences you've had on the road, or people you've seen. Well those are "truck-drivers" NOT 'Professional' drivers. THERE is a difference, and the latter are thankfully overtaking the former. OK, it's off to MORE testing, Ohhhhhhh I can't wait till test pressure's off (we all can't wait--class 012306) I'll keep you posted. In the mean time, that chair you're in, the snack you're eating, the computer you're on......ALL came in on TRUCKS!

Awwww YEAH!!!!! I'm IN the big-rig! -Pasquale here with another A-T-I update. We've been "on-the-road" for about a week now, IT'S AWESOME! My class is in two groups, one with "Stormin' Norman-the Sarge-Bleech, and the other with MISTER Bill Rutherford! -I'm rollin' with "the Sarge" in A-T-I truck #1 (a 10 speed Freightliner!) wooooo, what an experience. I'm proud to say I'm a member of the "10 speed club" that's right....I've gotten up to tenth gear, NOW I'm rollin'! Now let me tell you, it's NOT an easy task, but the instruction from Mr Bleech and Mr Rutherford is EXCELLENT! We've (I've) accomplished a lot in a very short time. You see, A-T-I teaches you how to be a "PROFESSIONAL" driver...NOT a "truck-driver". There IS a difference. What a feeling of accomlishment you get while SAFELY piloting these huge machines, all the while anticipating passing your CDL test, and then knowing that A-T-I has JOB-PLACEMENT for you, RIGHT at graduation! {There is NO guarantee that you WILL be hired. A-T-I only provides the contacts and leads} I've been up-shifting, down-shifting, U-turns, backing up to REAL docks, learning how to corner-and-turn 48 & 53 foot trailers! Soon my class will be rolling over MORE highway, going through our MANY tunnels, and even heading out on a long road-trip. All under the EXPERT supervision of Norm-the-Sarge-Bleech, and Mister Bill Rutherford. These guys are great! THANKS gentlemen, for your patience and persistence! You're pullin' our class right through. I can tell you, A-T-I get's it DONE!! World class instruction in fields that are IN DEMAND! May I offer my recommendation? Call 490-1241 and learn about these opportunities! I haven't graduated as of this writing, but the confidence I have regarding this task, combined with the instruction I've received, compels me to receommend A-T-I. I'm proud to be part of this school. If you put YOUR desire in the mix with the A-T-I method, you WILL succeed. Stand by for more updates. Until then, safe driving to you.

WHOA! What a week at A-T-I -Everything that program coordinator & instructor George Perez got us prepped for IN class is finally starting to come together. I'm pumped that I've made it through 'Phase One TT112'; which included ALL the solid book knowledge/industry info/map reading/log book instruction......AND most important my CDL learner's permit! My class (# 012306) has been in 'phase two' [TT113] for about a week now. It's the range/road phase, which will lead us up to GRADUATION and a CDL class A license. Range/road instruction is EXPERTLY handled by Mr Norman "Sarge" Bleacher & Mr William Rutherford. These two GREAT instructors are tough, but VERY good! We're practicing, practicing, practicing. The "Sarge" and "Mr R." have got us BACKING these big-rigs in straight's, curves, and 45's. It's a great feeling, to take these A-T-I combination vehicles and learn how maneuver tractor-trailers THAT large into within inches of the DMV test cones. We learned how to drop-and-hook trailers, ALL the pre-trip inspections and SOON will be driving these 9 & 10 speed tractors ON-THE-ROAD! "Sarge" and "Mr R" keep it strict, strong and safe, so we learn. ON schedule, and still have fun doing it! Stand by for more updates from the range & road on MY class # 012306 at A-T-I When YOU'RE ready to get your career-in-gear, call 490-1241 to enroll.

Hi there! WOW, I've got to say that A-T-I tractor-trailing-training is....TERRIFIC! -And challenging. Folks, there is a lot to learn/know, BUT it's all flowing (or should I say, rolling) together logically. Once again, an air-HORN blast for Program Coordinator/Instructor; George Perez! He's keeping my class (#012306) motivated, encouraged, and enroute! I'm happy to say I've passed the 'Brake-Test", a big deal in trucking, as you can imagine. AND through GREAT class room prep, I PASSED MY CDL-LEARNERS PERMIT from the DVM!! Which is a mandatory test, with a DEADLINE! It's a good feeling! And you can get the SAME feeling by enrolling at A-T-I! 490-1241!!! The more you learn about this CRUCIAL industry, the more respect you give to the men AND women who are, quite literally, keeping the economic engine of America "turning"! Imagine if THE TRUCKS stopped moving?!? CDL holder's today are PROFESSIONALS! You can find pride in your work as a Professional truck driver. A-T-I instills that professional-prideful spirit. Coming up: a final "1st Phase" class (theory) exam! then it's immediate prep for the 'road & range course"; THAT'S where me and my class get IN the A-T-I big-rigs, and practice, practice, practice! All to get in enough time to SHINE come DMV final road-test examination day! Then- YOU could possibly be HIRED -or- pre hired by one, of the potentially thousands of trucking companies in the U.S.! I'll have more updates from classroom 106 soon. Good luck to YOU....and me. Call A-T-I 490-1241

10-4! -Oh yeah, things are "rollin'" in my A-T-I class. Instructor Perez has us in the books. The first full week of training is done, 7 weeks to go. OK, so far we've covered the general knowledge, essentially the "theory" and rules (by-the-book) of: dash board controls; the truck pre-trip inspection; organization of trucking companies/the industry; some rules of the road concerning braking, controlling speed, etc. This week {Jan. 30- Feb 2} we'll cover: equipment failures; fires; the braking system and Thursday we've got our "brake-test". This week will also feature some guest speakers. Keep checking into the posting for my class "log-book" so to speak. **remember classes are ALWAYS forming at A-T-I! Call 490-1241...and pass the number on!

Hi everybody! All right, my FIRST week is progressing just fine at A-T-I. Instructor G. Perez has our "wheels turning" Already learning about the structure and flow of the trucking indusrty; we ALREADY got into the $$$$$ aspect (wow trucker's can make a buck!) Learing the guages, and we're just getting "into the cab" -that's just by the textbook, in the class room for now. I won't be on-the-road for few more weeks (so your still safe) :-> This page will keep you up-to-date on course developments. In the mean time, may I RECEOMMMEND A-T-I to you? I hope you'll consider them for your training needs. ****490-1241*****
